Hello! My name is Karen, I am (was, currently 25 at the time of these edits) a 21 year old college student who lives in the United States with a passion for Asian pop culture.
If you’ve been following me for long, you’ll notice that my ‘About Me’ got an overhaul instead of edits. While this is a personal blog, I’ve stated a lot of stuff multiple times in several posts so I’m sure if you want to look for my favorite anime you could simply use the search bar. Also I cringed into a black hole reading it and the edits barely helped so I’m just going to condense it down and make it look more professional.
What I do: I run a blog about Asian pop, my experience in Asian pop at concerts/fan meets, unboxings of official K-Pop and J-Pop goods, Asian snacks, and write about personal experiences and random happenings from my life. I also make YouTube videos of the unboxings.
Education: I have an associates in Journalism, working on a Bachelors in English. I recently took a break due to mental and physical health issues, but I plan on getting back to school soon.
Hobbies: Watching anime, Asian dramas, playing video games, drinking coffee (is that a hobby or a necessity?), cooking but that’s also a life skill, who wants to starve, am I right? I also watch some American shows, usually old re-runs of sitcoms or American Horror Story.
I also run the EYK Facebook US Nasties fan page, I’m a radio DJ/founder/contributor to Highlight:Asia and I have (currently) four years of professional Asian pop reporting experience. I’ve interviewed many artists, I’ve collaborated with entertainers, I’ve promoted artists.
If you’d like to contact me for a collaboration/interview/product review, please use my business email: email@example.com (yes, that’s from an EYK joke)
All content such as music, videos and pictures are taken from various sources on the internet. Unless specified (such as an interview or exclusive article) I do not own the rights to these.
For any dramas or movies I review, I would like to state that I am not a paid spokesperson for such sites as Viki, DramaFever, Crunchyroll, etc.
Nor am I spokesperson for any site I use to reference lessons for the segment, “Learn Korean With Me!” or any online website that I mention frequently when it comes to purchasing music/merchandise (ie, iTunes, eBay, Amazon, etc).
