I found them on iTunes just cruisin, trying to find something cool for WW, when I happened upon this English girl group.
Little Mix was formed in 2011, exclusively for the 8th season of The X Factor, and won it, signing on to Simon Cowell‘s label, Syco Music, releasing a cover of Damien Rice‘s “Cannonball” as their winning single.
In 2012, they released their debut album, “DNA” in November, and it charted the top 5 in 8 different countries, landing at #2 in the UK and #4 on US Billboard 200.
Little Mix is the first girl group since PCD to hit the top 5 in the US with their debut album and the highest charting position by a British girl group since the Spice Girls in 1996!
Impressive, right?
Well, in 2013, they released the album, “Salute,” and their newest single, “Black Magic” will have its album released in November.
I will be showcasing, “Black Magic,” since it’s my first song from them. That’s pretty much the reason.
