Okay, so I haven’t been as up to date with Asian pop as I’d like because of work, but right now, I’m on a sick day, and I have found the time.
Here I’m going to list my top music videos of K-Pop that I need to catch up on in the year 2015.
The Legend “Trace”
The Legend can do no wrong. ‘Baby Shinhwa,’ as I call them made a comeback in January, and I was too busy to notice, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t as flawless as ever.
U-KISS ‘Playground‘
Because U-KISS is perfection, that’s why. Look at the MJ hip thrust. U-KISS, making hankies cool since 2015.
Rainbow ‘Black Swan’
So what I’m reading in the comments is, “Just keep listening to it, I didn’t like it at first, but now it’s my favorite song!”
No. I shouldn’t have to brainwash myself into liking a song. The song is ho-hum, save for the hook, and the music video is bland at best, with close up shots of the members and choreo. No plot, whatsoever.
Sorry Rainbow, I had high hopes, though.
Even though this list is for songs I like, I felt the need to put it here because it was so talked about and I was so looking forward to it.
Shinhwa ‘Sniper‘
There’s a reason these men are legends, and this is it. Time and time again they are not swept into the fads that K-Pop seems to love going in and out of, and keep to what they know, classy, contemporary pop. Yeah, they might change here and there, but here is a fine example of classic Shinhwa.
Anda – S 대는 갔을텐데
Formerly known as Andamiro under Trophy Ent, Anda has recreated herself under Emperor Entertainment.
In fact, Emperor Entertainment reached out to fans on the music video and told them what happened, and even announced that Anda is releasing another single this May!
Lovelyz ‘Hi~‘
The first thing I thought of when I began watching was IU‘s “You and I,” which is one of my favorite songs.
However, this isn’t as good as “Candy Jelly Love,” but they sound really cute, and I’m waiting for their next comeback.
Shannon Williams ‘Why Why‘
And why not? Her voice is so amazing, and the music video is really cute…and a tad bit creepy. It goes back and forth.
Eric Nam ‘I’m OK‘
Because Eric Nam is lyfe. This is such a well executed break up song/mv. I had my doubts, but I shouldn’t cuz Eric is amazing.
And that’s it! Those are my favorite songs right now that came out recently while I was busy with work.
Catch up again soon!
