I ignored RaNia at first, even with my love of past member Joy, who is now leader of my third favorite Thai girl group, GAIA, I never really looked into them.
I always heard that they were ‘slutty’ and such and that they had worked with Teddy Riley.
I finally gave in to my curiosity, and realized…THERE IS A GROUP OF TALENTED YOUNG WOMEN WHO’S TALENTS ARE WASTED ON A COMPANY (several, actually) THAT DO NOT PROPERLY PROMOTE THE SHIT OUT OF THESE GIRLS.
“Dr. Feel Good” is actually a pretty bomb ass song, and have you heard them sing a ballad? “Goodbye” is BEAUTIFUL. One of the companies that manages them is Yedang Entertainment. Do you know who they manage?
ALi. Slayer of ballads. WHERE IS THE SLAYAGE, YEDANG????
I don’t know anything about Irving Ent or their main label DR Music, but I DO know that their collaboration with the Spanish label INGENIOmedia fell through because their latest comeback (which WOULD have been in 2014) was taking too long and they (the Spanish company) said that they were no longer willing to work with them.
Sad, really. They added a new member, Sharon. I haven’t gotten to know all the members yet, but so far I really like Di.
I really liked their older style. I don’t know, maybe it’s because I’m American and grew up with it, therefore it appeals to me more, but their last two singles, “Style” and “Just Go” were somewhat bland to me.
They are great songs, and honestly I like “Just Go” better than “Style,” but they just seem so…ordinary compared to what they could be.
And here are my favorite songs, “Dr. Feel Good (English Ver),” “Goodbye,” and “Just Go.”
