Blogs, not vlogs, though some do vlog. I don’t watch a lot of vloggers anymore, which used to take up a lot of my time. Now, I work so much that sitting at my computer is a luxury.
My bed is now my best friend, let’s just put it that way.
Anyway, back to the topic. Blogs. I read them. And I love to follow them. I’m going to list my favorite bloggers, in no particular order.
Eat Your Kimchi
Yes, EYK are a staple still. I still watch their videos. They blog about their life in Korea, and sometimes random little videos of them or their pets. K-Pop Music Monday has taken a back seat as of late, due to their traveling, and the voting page is down for maintenance for the time being.
While the KMM is funny, it’s not why I started loving them. My first video was a TL;DR on gadgets in Korea.
Sure, their videos are what they’re best known for, but if you read the blog posts, you’ll get to know them a lot better. Also, I can tell when Simon writes them. Not just the mentions of Martina, but he’s got this sarcastic thing going on.
All that sass, Simon.

2. My Korean Husband
I saw one of my friends following this blog and I decided to check it out. I really love the comics, they give a funny take on a foreigner’s marriage to a Korean man, but not all hyped up about their relationship being interracial.
It’s funny, cute everyday stuff. Check out Nicole and Hugh on their blog!
Nicole is working on a comic book, and currently working on comics for a LINE contest, check them out!
3. Texan In Tokyo
I kinda wondered if there are Japanese counter parts to my favorite blogs, and if there were any, Texan in Tokyo would be the Japanese equivalent of MKH.
Grace and Ryosuke are a funny, quirky couple. Unlike EYK and MKH, I’ve never seen Ryosuke write a post or seen anything about him having a blog.
Of course he IS a salaryman, when would he have time? Though apparently he does enjoy poop hats.
Grace recently published her first comic book, “My Japanese Husband Thinks I’m Crazy,” and I gladly bought a physical copy. Her second book “My Japanese Husband (Still) Thinks I’m Crazy” is set to release in February, and I’ve already pre-ordered my copy.
To check out her blog posts about marriage, life, and random fun stuff in Japan, along with her comics, don’t forget to check out her website, howibecametexan.com!
I read a lot of blogs (well, not really I just lost count) but the last one I’ve been following for a while and keep up to date on is WesternGirlEasternBoy, she likes K-Pop, she’s been to Korea, and I’ve taken her up on some cosmetic advice. She’s really sweet and rather fast at replying.
She also does cosmetic reviews (not all Korean), relationship articles, fashion, K-Dramas, etc. She went to KCON in 2014, so don’t forget to check out her adventures in Cali as well!
