Random Music Monday: J-Pop Catch Up

I’ve been really busy at work lately, and they just changed my schedule this weekend, so I slept the whole day away and have to go back in a few hours. Hooray! *eye twitch

Anyway, this means I haven’t been able to catch up on music recently, especially poor, neglected J-Pop.

Let’s remedy that, shall we?

FlowerTOMORROW ~しあわせの法則~

This is the Japanese Version of “Tomorrow,” the most famous song from the classic American musical, “Annie,” which was given a recent makeover last year with a modern remake.

I. ADORE. this song. Ah, childhood memories.

EXILE J Soul BrothersEeeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe!

This is from their latest album, “Planet Seven,” which is set to release on January 28th. It’s a pretty simple dance video, but who doesn’t want to watch attractive men in suits dancing? Exactly.

Dreamこんなにも‘ and ‘希望の光 〜奇跡を信じて〜

In ‘こんなにも,’ my poor bbys had their hearts broken when they were stood up for Valentine’s Day. Dicks. Anyway, the song is great, and heartbreaking.

In ‘希望の光 〜奇跡を信じて〜,’ it’s a behind-the-scenes music video of the girls in the recording studio. Still sadness. Much tears.

Prizmmy☆I Just Wanna Be With You

UGH! I’ve been so out of it with Prizmmy, the guilt, IT’S EATING ME ALIVE! But that’s part of the reason we’re here. 🙂 This is their latest single, “I Just Wanna Be With You.”

I feel disco undertones, and I kinda like it. The song is super upbeat and happy, which also makes me happy.

Don’t forget to check out the dance version!

SUPER☆GiRLSギラギラRevolution

From the thumbnail I thought this was going to be some mature concept, but then I remembered this is SUPER☆GiRLS. It’s cute and fun, but the dance parts are in a dim studio setting, which is somewhat confusing.

However, the song is cute and upbeat, and I really like it. Oh yes!

GENERATIONS from EXILESing It Loud

Last on the list, is one of my favorite sub-groups like evar. This was released a couple days ago. It’s half set in a neon tunnel/dance stage and half in the streets.

Til next time I need to play catch up!
