J-Indie Picks 11.11.14

Hey look…I’m on time…hahahaha yeah. Anyway, up for some J-Indie? I know I am.

First up is The Leaps, now half the size of their original lineup, are still rocking out with their latest self-titled release from their latest project, “Let’s Get Together.”

The staccato melody throughout the song is rather haunting, accompanied by the crashing drums and as Neux described it, ‘cranky’ guitars. Spooky does not disappoint with their latest release of “Tokyo.” Their second single, “いつだって君に聞いてほしい” was released on the 5th!

In need of another late night haunting melody? How about She Talks Silence‘s “The Moon.” It’s simply beautiful and done so perfectly, sound and image. This was released on a 7″ with TOWA TEI on the 29th of October.

Last but certainly not least is NOTHING TO DECLARE, which found me on YouTube. I’m glad they did. I would introduce my best friend Chey, lover of screamo to this. And when he’s not screaming, his singing voice is pretty decent, not to mention that falsetto. The band’s latest album, “Your Obsession,” for which this is the title track, was released in May of 2013.

Here’s to hoping for more from them.
