I’m starting a mini series called ‘K-Pop Comparison.’ This is not the first song that I’ve done that’s done this, but there are several K-Pop songs that are remakes of other songs around the world.
One of the most popular songs is Sarah Connor‘s, “Under My Skin,” or in Korea, better known as DBSK‘s “Mirotic,” which was released in 2008 on the album of the same name. This was their fifth single to hit #1 on the Oricon charts.
Sarah Connor is a German singer, and began her career in 2001 with “Green Eyed Soul.” She has many accolades and awards, and was one of the best selling female artists in Germany in the early 2000’s. She has 7 albums, and one in the works for this year. She is also currently a judge on Germany’s “X-Factor.”
Her song, “Under My Skin,” was recorded between 2007-2008, and was released 0n her album, “Sexy as Hell,” released in August of 2008. DBSK’s version was released a month later. She even helped write the song. Look at the credits, people.
