So yeah…my house has bats and we still haven’t gotten rid of them, but I spend the weekends away from home, so I braved my room one last time to grab my laptop and run for safety. Thankfully I made it out alive.
I’m just kidding, the bat was gone, but they ARE up in the attic, which was why it was closed off (we were told it was birds) and the bats kept getting into my room. TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW a bat flew at my head so I haven’t been down there all week, except to get clothes for work and run back upstairs like I’m being chased like demons.
Anywho, I am back for the weekend, and apologize for the lack of updates.
Let’s get started, shall we?
Watch the playlist here:
First up is Mio with “Bird Kiss.” She’s a badass female rock soloist with a talent for playing the guitar in the backseat of a taxi and a thing for pig-people. The music video is a compilation of peoples journeys in the backseat of a taxi, yet they all end the same way, though they start out very differently.
The song is angsty and amazing, just thought I’d point that out.
Not available for download.
Next up is the band, The Spoonie, with their single, “Beautiful Life,” which is also a beautiful song with a build up into an emotional chorus. The video is very simple, and doesn’t detract or distract from the beauty of the song.
This is from their first mini album, “SKIN.”

Here is a more upbeat video, Tokyo Pinsalocks with their single, “Sentimental Metal Chair.” While I don’t see this over emotional piece of furniture, I am very amused by the props that drop from the ceiling and the overall joyful feel of the song.
This was released last year on the mini album of the same name. I found this on Sparkplugged, and it had a pretty interesting title so I thought, “eh, why not?” and why not? It’s a cool song.

Last but not least is the band, Yikki Beats, with their latest single, “Forever.” They recently released a lyric video, and I have to say, this is one of the best songs I’ve heard all week. It’s a great way to end the playlist, or start your day.
This song is only available in Japan right now as a 7 inch (I have no idea what a 7 inch is). But you can download it elsewhere.
